Holidays

A holiday is an extended period of leisure and recreation, during which normal activities such as business, work or school are suspended or reduced. Many people consider the weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) as a holiday. But they’re also used to refer to “special days” usually spent travelling, away from home, and even celebrating or commemorating cultural or religious customs. Holidays can be defined or set aside by customs, law, governments, or religious institutions.
