Brunch is a meal eaten in the late morning or early afternoon, usually anytime between 10am up to 2pm. It is a combination of breakfast and lunch, and can be served in a buffet-style manner or even à la carte. Brunch regularly has some form of alcoholic drink (most usually champagne or a cocktail) served with it. It is said to have originated in England in the late 19th century, and gained popularity in the United States and world over from the 1930s onwards.
