Intellectual wealth is used to fulfill a sense of self, and is thus a very important part of your overall wealth and life satisfaction. It depends on individual actions (that are the currency of wealth). While things that you like to do are positive and add to the wealth, negative activities are actually like a debt and subtract from your total intellectual wealth.
